Continuing education and professional development programs;
Updated legal and regulatory information that affects your everyday operations;

Conferences and trade shows where you can learn with your colleagues, seek out new products and solutions and build your professional network.
The following information should provide you with an idea of the many changes and benefits of membership, programs, and services we offer.
Professional and business leaders have long recognized that common business and professional goals can be achieved faster and more easily through joint action than through individual action. Associations are joint-action organizations. In order to reap the benefits of an association, members need to become involved in the activities of the organization. The most satisfied members attribute this to their participation in the many association activities and networking opportunities that meetings, conferences, seminars, events, newsletters, etc. offer.
The Gainesville Apartment Association joined the National Apartment Association (NAA) and the Florida Apartment Association FAA) in October 2000. Since that time the National Multi Housing Council (NMHC) has joined with NAA, therefore we receive information and participate in the activities, education, legislation, training and information from the three Associations.
One of the benefits that we will be offering this year will be the Certified Apartment Manager (CAM),the Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAM-T)and the National Apartment Leasing Professional (NALP) courses to our membership this year. We are excited that we have the opportunity to offer these important courses with the changing environment in our industry. With all of the health related issues (asbestos, lead based materials, mold and mildew) it is extremely important to keep the Property Managers, Owners, and Maintenance Personnel both informed and trained in handling these situations and the safety of residents and employees in addition to the extensive technical training programs.
Our monthly dinner meetings give you the opportunity to network in a relaxed atmosphere as well as enjoy an interesting and knowledgeable speaker on topics important to our industry.
Our annual trade show, presented in May, is the perfect vehicle to mingle with other property management firms and business owners relating to the apartment industry.
